Sherman, the usually placid (which could be easily translated to lazy) was crazy today!!!! I don't know what got into him or what happened. I triple checked his tack and was riding him pretty well so I think he's just being sour. Who knows. Anyway friendly critique and advice is accepted but nsty and in other words unfriendly comments are strongly discoursged. And btw the audio goes extremely well with the video don't you think?

So so what I am a rock star I've got my rock moves and I don't need you...
UPDATE: I rode him again the other day and spent a lot of time correcting him also a trainer checked his saddle and I'm using 2 extra saddle pads. very comfy :D
I'd say possibly back pain...maybe pinching of the saddle or just a strain? I'd have the vet and/or chiropractor check him out. Also, when lunging him, when he kicked both back feet right at your face? DISRESPECT. He had no respect for you that day! LOL! My paint will try, but he will not get away with it. He turns his butt anywhere near my body, and he's getting worked hard. So, vet first to rule out pain, then discipline.

Lovely independance. It is quite obvious you have absolute respect for your animals. Sherman is communicating he is out of sorts, feeling not quite right and today is a day he would much rather be let alone to do as he wishes. You have taught him that he is able to safely object to some things, quite rightly. My heart goes out to you- you are one in a million who understands the hearts of animals.

Looks like he's in some sort of pain, especially when you move him off into a canter, but can't tell what from. However, keep your knees tight!

Right stifle problem? Old vid, but such a sweet looking guy - he is no doubt in pain there somewhere - to kick out like that - especially at certain gaits and transitions. Good learning case for those who are perhaps a bit too quick to blame the horse.

My guess is he has some discomfort (pain or irritation) somewhere, maybe even a stone bruise. But as for riding horses that buck, No One should let one buck and if they ride one that bucks all the time they need to have some one show them how to correct that immediately.
