RC Airboat Air Boat Scratch Built Project

If you look closely into the hatch in the beginning, you can see my spattered blood around the battery. One day I was holding the boat from the back and the prop just went off (probably due to radio interference). Chopped up my thumb pretty bad, stitches bad. Well anyway, enjoy the vid.

hi there, what sort of duration (mins) do you get from your aa batts ? and what size " prop do u run ? ie dia and pitch as have a simple foam rc airboat almost finished, would appreciate your help/advice thanks

Hmmm I broke down the boat about a year ago but I think the prop was about 6" and I could run the boat for about 10 min. For power I used a 1100mA NiMH battery pack.

I think it's just a 400 can size. It really depends on the size of your boat.

-_________- how da hell did that brushed motor chopped up your thumb bad enough that u need stiches? my thumb got hit in a 1750 kv brushless motor running on 11.1v and it jus hurt rlly bad and was red, my thumb was not chopped up and i did not need stiches
