The ancient Thracians were a group of Indo-European tribes who spoke the Thracian language - a scarcely attested branch of the Indo-European language family. Those peoples inhabited the Eastern, Central and Southern part of the Balkan peninsula, as well as the adjacent parts of Central-Eastern Europe

Thracians inhabited parts of the ancient provinces of: Thrace, Moesia, Macedonia, Dacia, Scythia Minor, Sarmatia, Bithynia, Mysia, Pannonia, and other regions on the Balkans and Anatolia. This area extends over most of the Balkans region, and the Getae north of the Danube as far as beyond the Bug.[2] The branch of science that studies the ancient Thracians and Thrace is called Thracology.

  • in montenegro in some muslim villages word "sevt" means the "first", the word only exists in few villages of muslim origin so i wonder what seuthes really meant as a name.

  • @Hungaroctonul HAHA Thraciens were the lost tribe of sumerians, the one who invented the wheel.

  • @Hungaroctonul

TRUTH WELL TOLD MY ROMANIAN FILE.

  • @Hungaroctonul Ancient greeks called all balkanian barbarian tribes thraciens, that why you think it's true. In my opinion Thrace had its borders, and they were just a few tribes near the Seutopolis area. Gypsies aren't mongolians, they are from India. Wikipedia is not a valid source, search any scientific articles about it, because i can edit it, and write anything i want to it. Thraciens weren't existed even in 5th century, they were truly romanized and assimilated.

  • @Jigov i dont need to, there are already written books about it. But they need to be read. The lack of education is not acceptable.

  • @Jigov ok. write a book about it and try to convince the international historian community.
