dont forget to use the safety catch if present, watch out for overflow pushing the boat on entry/exit.... could have done with a bit more on it.

The locks are narrow, and some have protrusions that may hang on the bullwark of your boat. As your barge rises or lowers, these hang ups can roll a barge.
Happens more often when sailing solo and you dont notice.
