awww raccoons are so cute! i want one as a pet but they are probably illegal in NY state

@christianteen92 Yes they are illegal in every State in the US for multiple reasons. I'd like to think our laws care enough to have been put in place to assure that these wild animals are allowed to remain wild and are not forced into a life that is not suitable for them. But the main reasons these laws have been established is to control rabies exposure and control the fur trade. Here in TX it'll cost ya 500 dollars fine if you are caught with a coon in your possession without a permit.
