It seems to do the same thing as Monster or Careerbuilder. Not everyone in LInkedIn is looking for a job. I'm sure they would not want to be inundated with "alerts" for job positions if they are not looking. I'm also pretty sure you'll need to get LinkedIn's approval to do this.

I think that this may be against the terms of sevice of LinkedIn...better be careful.

Linkedin is certainyl against this tool. Is it effective yes, but if you read teh post itself I highly encourage you to use at your own risk. I have since removed the posting as it took off like wild fore on LinkedIn. It's still available but certainly be careful as LinkedIn will close your account and you will not be able to recover your contacts.
