No, our literacy rate was still the world's highest in 1972. The World Book Encyclopedia my folks ordered new is still in the family, and when you look up my hometown of Indy there, we were credited with having 1 of the best public education systems in the entire WORLD at the time.
A nation being in physical or even economic ruin has nothing to do with the quality of its education system; that's a function of the teachers' aptitude & intellect & the students' eagerness & willingness to learn.

We know not when the time will come, but I've often hoped that during the years of OUR decline, He'll make Lady Liberty smile upon us at least 1 more time before I pass on!

The French Revolution may have started out with a noble purpose, but it degenerated into senseless butchery all too soon, a grisly & eerie preview of what would bcome all too common over the next 2 centuries.
If we need another revolution, it needs to be another American Revolution.
Biggest problem I see with that in this era is that I, for one, don't believe that there are enough people left who think like our Founding Fathers to be able to effectively restore what we've already lost.

Then we'll cry "VIVA LA REVOLUCION!" and pop M16 rounds in the air.

Its a difficult job that participants of procession demand. Obamas parliament has awarded him the Noble Peace Award. What betterment can you expect from such a parliament. Zionist president is promoting hypocrisy in USA destroying the US Constitution as well as peace around the globe. A black has taken charge of USA after a long time & is after fulfilling all his deprived wants. A French Revolution type movement is required to get rid of this hypocrisy destroying US & globe altogether.

What do you think, ppchute50...any chance he will ever be exposed on all counts? I love this country so much..always have...but I realize even more now how precious it is. I think we get that way when we feel we may loose something or someone precious. I can't believe that so many just don't get it...or they do and they just don't care. Sad.
