To Gaetti; for the first time ever the Minnesota Twins are WORLD CHAMPIONS!!! No Twins fan would ever forget that 1st world series title from 1987 although they only had 85 wins during the regular season.

He was involved in the broadcast of a Stanley Cup Final, but not as a play by play announcer. He was a studio host during the Finals from 2000-2002.

And didn't ABC use to do Sunday afternoon baseball games in addition to "Monday Night Baseball?"

Did NBC and ABC alternate every year what part of the playoffs they showed or something? The Tigers in 1984 had the ALCS on ABC and the World Series on NBC.

@Knightmessenger From 1976-1989 (when CBS took over the contract), ABC had the World Series in odd numbered years and the LCS and All-Star Game in even numbered years.
