This is a nice little exercise that Zerg players can use to refine their gameplay and get used to constantly injecting, spending money, and not getting supply blocked.

TO FIND THIS MAP: Create a custom game in SC2, and search for "Build Order Test Zone"

The setup is as follows:
1 Spawning Pool
1 Roach Warren
1 Extractor
1 Queen
19 drones
1 Overlords worth of extra supply
0 Money (or as close as you can get)

  • Yo dude, I still don't have SC2, but Imma gonna thumbs up you anyway. We need to find some time this summer to get everyone together and do some DnDing/LANing.

  • @twomz Hooray! I agree. It's too bad Quakecon sucks for actually playing games now :(

  • Where have you been

  • @MasterWarCheif1 I've been around. I just choose not to pump out enormous amounts of mediocre content like a normal commentator.

  • @SC2NoobSchool Good point I just missed ya lol

  • @MasterWarCheif1 I'll try to step it up for ya ;)

  • The problem with this practice is that you are assuming that the reason that zerg aren't spending their resources is simply because they are choosing not to. This is not why this occurs.

Inadequate spending can result from many things but the main reason is a lack of proper larvae management. Early aggression vs zerg is normal and screws the zerg into an army where they need drones. Armies take up supply, you can't get larva back. Add in supply blocks and it snowballs into unused resources.

  • How do u change in options so u can see like over the icons which letter u press in order to buy like a uppgrade please help me!

  • You needed 2 more drones to fully saturate

  • Also try to get maxed out by 14 mins wich shouldn't be to hard against very easy computer..

If 14 mins is getting doable go for 13

  • idk, if you get to much money, expand or macro hatch :)

alot of zerg players have to much minerals when starting to play the race.. either more lings, macro hatch (for more lings) or just expand and take the gass!

  • even if I didn't go and practice this, this was still full of tips that I readily did not catch on my own.

  • I am sorry to say that you are not fully saturated, you could have built two more and still not be over saturated. Good lesson tho, I don't play zerg so this gave me some good incite. Would love more content!

  • I would like to take leasons but the website wont open on my pc for some reason=(

  • @Erebus2075 THEY FEAR THE POWER OF THE SWARM

  • @SC2NoobSchool what do u do when u need to get more drones, and warirors and overlords, whats the build orde rthere? is it like overlord 1, 4 warriors, 2 drones, or 2 overlord, 3 warriors 3 drones, till ur at optimal, and how can i keep all my hatcheries safe, if i have 3 -4 how do i keep them safe

  • @skrili the worst thing is i heard that in the beta larva inject and creep spread could be set to auto; but some off the pro players complained that it would be more competitive if you couldnt (bet you those fucks aint playing zerg now); so they changed it for release.. totally sucks balls :(
