@jgizzy I'm no genius, but I guess it's about the differential having a hydraulic locking system. When the chambers fill with hydraulic fluid, the fluid pushes the spokes of the sprocket, which then pushes those plate thingies together and thus they transmit the force to the side sprocket, which then becomes locked with the cross-shaft of the differential. I hope it helped, I'm not that good at explaining things in English hehe. :)
