Same chord progression (part of a new song Welcome Home, coming out in January 2011 on new album by the band I'm in--Old Shoe) as AW-3 video I posted, but this time with some small improvements: Mu-tron III, some 'verb, and woohoo! a drum loop. The Mu-tron is tamed by a Keeley Four-knob Compressor, which I use almost exclusively to tailor the 'tron's tone (once dialed in).

  • Great videos! What is that you click on at like 1:30ish? Fuzz Head?

  • @jbhthree I think it might have been a Maxon VOD9. Fuzzes that I've owned don't sound great with the Mutron, but a tincture of OD seems to be enough. Might have something to do with the Compressor, which really makes the Mutron usable without mods for guitar (or so it seems, in my limited experience with these things). Thanks for watching... : )

  • 1:31 sounds like Joe satriani...

  • Sweet! Sounds like 311's Tim Mahoney too. Awesome stuff!

  • nice manipulation of the mutron! i had a mutron III, but sold it in a moment of weakness, shame on me. i did turn the cash into a 1964 bandmaster head, and matching 2x12 cab. all wasn't lost. but i do really miss the III, now that its gone.

  • nice Jerry Feel man, real cool
