Another successful Aboriginal Storytelling event was held at the Senator Myles Venne School mini gym on Thursday February 28th. We started at 11:30 with a Elders Dinner and continued with entertainment and storytelling sessions at 1 pm. Elder Henry Roberts started off by explaining why storytelling is so important and that it should be past on from one generation to another. He also mentioned that stories were told not only to entertain, but to teach lessons, give warnings, and keep history alive.
I remember that lady that's singing here. she used to work here in Fox Lake.
