See, I always felt bad for David because he was so quiet about being gay in the early seasons that people felt perfectly fine saying homophobic stuff or goading him into being uncomfortable and didn't expect any real reply, which is exactly what Rico was doing in this scene.
The first time I saw this episode, I could see David evaluating his options and when he chose to just lay it all out on the line in front of Rico, I actually clapped.

Geez, David sure is touchy. That was always my main beef with his character, he could never let anything slide, he to get offended or pissed off about just about everything. And nobody ever pulled the stick out of his ass throughout the whole series. Oh well. Now he kills people as Dexter, yay!!

That was perfect. God i miss this show! One day I'm gonna by the entire series on DVD. And this is coming from someone who doesn't own a single DVD and never wanted to until this show ended. It was just amazing.

I bought the complete dvd set after watching only half a episode on tv. but then again I am nuts ahaha. but i don't regret it for a second
