This a PC I build and I installed Kubuntu and Vista. You can experience pretty cool effects. Well, in fact I am selling this PC! : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBay...

I've found that Compizfusion and Wine don't get along so well... so if you are trying to play windows based games on linux using wine I doubt you would be able to flip desktops in cube form. At least not in the 'out of the box' configuration.

He does a reboot 4 minutes into the video showing a typical "dual boot" menu. He has Vista loaded on one disk (or partition) and Kubuntu on another disk (or partition). The menu that allows you to select which OS to load is controlled at startup by the Linux boot loader called GRUB. I prefer to keep Linux on one hard drive and Windows on another hard drive but they can share one disk. A dual boot is not hard to setup but it does take a little expertise. Try it on a spare PC once or twice.
