The Tesla turbine is a proven design. An open mind should be kept when young students embark in these string budget project. This should be considered as a "concept" exercise and I think that it shows that indeed this sort of little engine could be used for this work. I too see no fraud at all, just guys trying to keep things in place and running! Now where you would get the air... is a totally different ball game. Maybe there is another team devoted to this. Keep up the good work guys!

You are an idiot. Do you see there is a chain connecting the output shaft of the motor and shaft to the cart. The wormgear has about 20:1 torque ratio. Also, I know we wouldn't allow ppl to push it cuz I was a TA for this class.
