Ms. Marlowe: You must have made an incredible impression. I am a teacher & jokingly mentioned your name (Ms. Crabtree) in class recently, believing today's students wouldn't know who you were. Boy, was I wrong. Virtually every student in the class went berserk when I mentioned you. They knew exactly who you were & they remembered you. You still affect us profoundly. You're one of the first women I fell in love with & I was only 7. Yeah, it's true...you were one hot babe. God Bless You.

June Marlowe was born Gisela Goetten, of German heritage, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Hal Roach suggested that Marlowe, a brunette, wear a blond wig to match Jackie Cooper's hair, she got the part. The three In 1933, Marlowe married Hollywood businessman Rodney Sprigg, and she retired from motion pictures to become a housewife. In her later years, she suffered from Parkinson's disease, dying from complications caused by it on March 10, 1984, aged 80.
