Tere Bagair - Madan Mohan/ Talat Mahmood (2009 release)

Madan Mohan, one of Hindi cinemas most famous composers, passed away on July 14, 1975. In his composing career of 25 years, he scored music
for over 75 films including Ankhen (1950), his debut, Adalat, Anpadh, Dekh Kabira Roya, Ghazal, Sanjog, Manmauji, Haqeeqat, Jahan Ara, Woh Kaun Thi?, Mera Saaya, Chirag, Heer Ranjha, Dastak, Hanste Zakhm, Mausam, Laila Majnu and others.
During his untimely demise, various tunes composed by him remained unrecorded. These compositions left behind on tapes remained unused, till Yash Chopra decided to use some of them to form the soundtrack of his film, Veer-Zaara, which met with resounding success. Additionally, there were some recorded songs from films that remained unreleased as the films were shelved for various reasons. And thus these songs, though recorded by Madanji in his lifetime, remained unheard and unused.
Soon after his demise, some of these songs were released in A Treasure Revealed for limited circulation. Now Tere Bagair - Madan Mohan features 15 such rare songs, of which 5 have never been ever heard before. These songs were recorded by the composers in his peak years with his favourite poets and singers like Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi, Talat Mahmood, Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle. The songs are in various moods - songs of pathos, ghazals, romantic ditties, ballads and even dance songs. All efforts have been made to make the songs sound as technically perfect as possible. An attempt has also been made to add supportive music selectively to the original song, so as to enhance the audio quality. This has been done through selective addition of the tabla and side-rhythms.
This album has been aptly titled from the refrain of its opening song Kaise kategi zindagi and was launched on Madan Mohans 85th birthday on June 25, 2009. Also launched on the occasion was www.madanmohan.in, a website,dedicated to the composer.

Madan Mohanji's always favourite Two singer male for Gazal Shri Talaji and female Lataji, once in all india radio Urdu service madaji give information "talatji and lataji Gale se nahi dil se gate hai" So al the songs all time hits forever.

This song was to be filmed in Jahan Ara but for some reason, producer Om Prakash was not satisfied. The song was first released on a Music India disc back in 1981 titled "A Treasure Revealed.....Musical Memories of Madan Mohan". The disc had 10 songs which are now enchanced and re-released on "Tere Baghair" in 2009.
