The U. S. has the most expensive health care system in the world, yet the World Heath Organization (WHO) rated the U. S. health care system 37 in the world.........

UK, Japan, Germany, Switzerland and Taiwan whose universal health care system spend much less than we do, but their outcomes are much better than ours.............What's in common? They all have Government run mandatory universal health care insurance and the health care insurance is a not-for-profit entity.

  • so costs are cut by removing the doctors' rights to negotiate a fair salary. we shouldn't be allowed to infringe on someone's right for our own benefit.

  • 3:02 Prof. Dr. Karl Lauterbach, our future health minister. I like him. :)

  • America produces most of the world's pharmaceuticals. Germany gets these drugs for less because Germans don't pay the costs of testing these drugs. Americans pay this cost. If Americans didn't pick up the slack when the Germans negotiate costs down, under current laws these drugs wouldn't be profitable enough to exist.

Too bad Lou isn't interested in learning some economics.
