At 211 degrees, water is hot. At 212 degrees, it boils. And with boiling water, comes steam. And steam can power a locomotive.

At 212 degrees steam has no pressure and can not do any real work. To move a locomotive you got to raise the temperature another 100 degrees to 312 just to get 78psi
