A poignant tale of inebriated idealism about a group of men who build a boat and sail from Britain to Cuba.
They aim to take 15 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Cuba and there, ignoring the US trade embargo, eke out a meagre living. The crew of eccentrics support Fidel Castro in his struggle with the imperialist United States. Foreign support for Castro's regime is stronger than ever. But will they make it to the beleaguered isle and will they find a warm welcome? Chronically poor, yet full of enthusiasm, they fashion their ship almost entirely from recycled materials. They set sail for the Caribbean island of St. Martin. Cuba is still far away and the boat is grounded for four months of repairs. Every penny has to be spent on spare parts and the crew's morale plummets. But sailing between the islands of the Caribbean they swim with dolphins, dance and steer the boat through rough seas with ease. Sailing into Cuba their cargo cannot be unloaded and persistent demands for money from the harbour officials begin to sour dreams of Socialist brotherhood... A story of persistence for all those who have ever had a dream.

@kidcubadaniel We don't have to know anyone there. The proof is visible. There's a reason why Cubans are going through hell to get to America. Culture, family? Cubans have nothing on that island and you know that! The only one who has anything on that island is Fidel. Ask any Cuban here in America and they'll echo whats being said here. The only Cubans who have any love for the Cuba of today, are Cubans who live in fear. Cuba has the potential to be the most beautifulest island in the Caribbean.

I love how many people have opinions on Cuba, and none of you have family or friends or any cultural link to the Island. *Whatever*

As I read some of the comments all I want to say is... anyone who seeks power will murder anyone. Being from 1 to any number of people that will oppose their beliefs.

@BoxingApe Yeah they do, but with all that number one there comes the oppression, and misery people get from the very government that gives the number one to them.
