Amy Hale, Videoblogging 206, sits down with Communications Manager for Soild Ground, Mike Buchman, and talks about the role citizen journalism and social media has been used over the years to tell the story of fighting homelessness and poverty in Seattle.

"...the Fremont Fair is more than just the fun stuff. The major media don't really seem to care or get that. But, when we talk to individuals people get that. The Seattle Times had a nice little story about the parade. The Seattle Times didn't say anything about the fact that the Fair is raising tens of thousands of dollars to help homeless families. And citizen journalists have been getting that from the moment they got involved."
