hey guys an new to this whole thing so i did what u just told me and i got the key but how can i use this key coz to be honest i tried to to connect to the network using the key i have but i couldnt xP so i dont know what should i do to make convert this key or whatever plz help me thnx alot :D

Yes of course... it is in monitoring mode. I noticed some tutorial shows the PWR is -ve sign and some of them shows +ve sign... but with -ve sign they still can crack WEP. I'm using Kinamax brand to do that which I bought from computer. When using BT3, actually I'm stucked at this script "airodump-ng -c (CH. No.) -w (FILE NAME) --bssid (BSSID)" . After press enter, the #data only shows '0' and did not increase at all.. Why this happen? Pls advise.... thanks!

Is your interface in monitoring mode? Look at the joshhoustondotnet's tutorial to do that

Is your network card compatible with Backtrack?

@MrSpazmic Hi...u seems very expert, can u advise me, why after type "airodum-ng (interface)" the #pwr for every SSID shows -ve sign??? even I put my device very near to the network, it still shows -ve sign and also the #data only shows '0' by right it must shows a number 1,2,3,etc...

man. I have a couple of advices to you:

1: your method will only work with a low bit code (small-easy)

2:why cant you just use the online mode? (you try to hack the wep key while the data uploads or downloads)

3:again 30000 data will mostly not work because it is wayyy to little and then you will have to start over again

lastly:i will subscribe but I except better methods

1- You made a lot of mistakes in the vid

2- Wtf you need to put your interface in monitoring mode :

airmon-ng You see wich interface it is, normally it's wlan0

airmon-ng start wlan0 <----- Monitor mode

airodump-ng mon0 <---- All AP's within the area

3- You should wait till Data reach at least 60000, it can work at 30000, but it won't always work.

it can work the way you made your tutorial, but it's so shitty

hey ive been trying to get my wifi card to work with backtrack4 on both my laptop and my PC, but alls it says is no wireless networks found. and when i try to start hacking a wep protected connection it says failed no such device/// why is this? i tried to update my drivers in backtrack and it doesnt make a differance. i have atheros AR5B91 card in laptop and a belkin broadcom in my pc. i get over 20 signals in windows and none in backtrack. if you can help that would be great. thanks in advance
