This is a legitimate question. Do you have a reason for being a theist that you would consider "rational?"
You seem to have such well thought out ideas (even if I disagree) in every other aspect of your life. I'd hate to think you're granting an exception from your rationality to a set of comfortable beliefs passed down through your family.
I don't so much hate it because I think you should be atheist, I just hate it because it casts doubt on the rationality of all the rest of your beliefs.
