Oh, It's not just for techno and electronic music trust me!! And if you're coming off the mpc and think you're gonna miss the swing of the mpc - Don't! Not only do they have mpc groove swings o presets (those can be tweaked to your liking), but you can extract a "groove" from any song and then use that groove and tweak it!! Its nuts!! I hope hip hop heads continue to overlook this daw b/c that means I have more of an advantage - real talk!

Man, Ableton is the truth man! I am a hip hop producer and this program is the best thing that I've worked with. As a matter of fact, after I downloaded the demo and learned the functionality of it, I sold my Roland Mv-8000 & Akai MPC 2000 - There was no need for them! I did cop the Akai mpk61 though! Anyways, I could go on for days why it's so much better than hardware... the most important though is the fact that it just makes sampling that much easier!! The Best DAW ever!!

I want to buy the ableton suite but all i seem to hear is pads and sounds for lounge and ambient music. I'm an urban producer and I wanted to know if it comes with sounds with fast attack(preset sounds and samples). I know ableton's possibilities are endless but I need a reason to purchase the ableton suite.
