@wastecan300 You have no goddamn clue what an FAC is. An FAC is a troop on the ground that coordinates which aircraft are to attack with what order, what direction, and what ordnance. An aircraft doesn't have to expend all of it's weapons on 1 run. There is a thing called over kill. You don't have to shoot 20 rockets into an area where there may be 5 enemy troops at.

@Allabaster84 The A10 is great at destroying ground targets and has great low speed handleing, but i disagree with you, the designed isnt ment for air to air. IF it goes head to head with a purpose built air to air fighter, it wouldnt be defenceless but it wouldnt dominate. It doesnt even have a radar.

The funny part is that the facets of the A-10 that make it a great tank hunter also let it dominate in a close in air-to-air fight. Tight turning radius and the GAU-8 will absolutely wreck anything in the sky that lets it get too close.

The A-10 is an anti-tank aircraft those Gatling Guns can penetrate any tank and polverise them....great aircrafts!

this isnt all close air support (cas) alot of this vid is forward air control. jsut about every time the a-10 fires a rocket pod 2 inch rocket thats fac to lead other planes on ground targets.
