Learn more about Guitar Heroes: Legendary Craftsmen from Italy to New York on view at the Met February 9, 2011--July 4, 2011: http://blog.metmuseum.org/guitarheroes/

Spectrum welcomed musician Glen Hansard to the Met on Thursday, May 26, in celebration of the exhibition Guitar Heroes: Legendary Craftsmen from Italy to New York.
Hansard is a prolific songwriter and charismatic performer, both as the front man for the Irish band The Frames and as one half of the folk-rock duo The Swell Season. As part of the latter group he won the Oscar for best original song for the composition "Falling Slowly," featured in the movie Once.

After a private viewing of the exhibition and a reception with beer generously donated by Harpoon Brewery, Hansard delighted the crowd with an acoustic solo performance in the magnificent Temple of Dendur in The Sackler Wing.

Spectrum commissioned Hero Design to create a limited-edition print in honor of the event. Twenty-five of these were given away at random during the show.
