I just need to throw in my two cents...I've been in this line of work for a couple years now, I still can't figure out why this guy, on a removal job, would go to the top, then all the way down and work his way up? How retarded do you have to be to not just take everything out on the way up if the tree is coming down anyways? Counter-productive....
I love how everyone is having a pop at the climber for using his saw one handed (like you never do it) and no second anchor etc (which is his choice as its his calculated risk) but no one mentions the fact the groundsmen have no ppe on. Get a life.
@Baumbruda He isn't that fast, either. He should be able to do work like that just as fast while complying to all ANSI standards. It's really not rocket science; just a few rules you NEVER break that don't take much time.
