Poorly made video. The narration script was clearly written by someone with zero manufacturing knowledge, designed to impress viewers with zero manufacturing knowledge.
"Ultra Modern Measuring Technology"? Like what? Coordinate measuring machines? Optical comparators? Dynamometers? Basically technology that's been around for decades, but updated with the latest PCs that anyone can buy.
Can't mask ignorance with a European accent. This video fails.
lol one is sprint racing one is endurance racing...
the F1 V8 engine have ZERRO nothing nada to do with production engines.. do you know a single production car with hydraulic powered valves?
DTM transmissions are standart part used by all manufacotrs..
Audi dominate LeMans since 8years..they don´t drive F1 how could F1 technology be transfered to LeMans racing..thanks for showing everyone that you know not much about cars.. how many diesel powered cars have won F1? ;)
Audi had build raced and won with midengine GP race cars 20years befor Ferrari was founded. It needed the Turbo time in the F1 till Ferrari reached the poweroutput of the AutoUnion and Mercedes silver arrows from the 1920-1930´s
BMW was starting car production as Audi won races on the Northloop
@JTMarlin8 I agree, although the video is meant to impress the "average joe", not people who may have engineering or manufacturing knowledge...

DTM LeMans borrows from technology developed in F1!!
duh..

F1 is where they develop new technology.
...then transferred over to production cars.
Ferrari 430's engine, BMW's M3 and M5 engine, Mercedes' SLR McLaren's engine....tech developed and proven on the racetrack...that's not DTM.
Mercedes' DTM's transmission, came from the MP4 car's technology.

F1 has next to nothing to do with street cars.. DTM LeMans WRC is much closer to production cars..

northloop?
yeah, they're still not in F1....they can win all those northloops all they want!!!
no disrespect to audi...i love the cars they make, just not as proven as what's in F1 today.
F1 is a totally different league than your northloop...
