my grandpa used to sing this song to me when i was little i remember him standing in his living room singing it to us all. he changed the words a little but i guess that made it his own. i was sure he made it up my whole chidhood. what do you know, nope. when we are small the grown ups in our lives are our heros and this song reminds me of one of the best ones i ever had. i can hear him singing it now. thanks.

I have loved this song since I was a boy. Thankyou so much for bringing it back into this day and age when the truly great voices and songs with a message have been forgotten.
