The only reason Robert Plant got the Led Zeppelin job was because Terry wanted to do his own thing. Everyone would have heard of him then!

Terry was the lead-off act at my first major concert. After him B. B. King performed. And the the featured act - the Rolling Stones. The year was 1969. The place - Boston Garden.

This man is one of my all time favorite artists who is probably very under-rated when compared to Robert Plant etc. but Led Zeppelin would be left far behind against this individual's absolute charisma and voice that wrenched hearts better than ANYONE in some cases

Saw him @ glasto just recently, brilliant. Didn't play brave awakening but still a great set. That song is imho his masterpiece.

I am so glad I knew about Terry Reid then when I was a kid. But I know what u mean unknown. A lot of people would have that blank stare when I would say I loved Terry Reid.
