Watership Down, part three of episode one: The Promised Land. Hazel, Fiver, Hawkbit, Dandelion, Bigwig, Blackberry, and Pipkin have left Sandleford Warren after Fiver had premonitions about it's destruction. Now they search for a new home; but can they get there and avoid the Elil on the way?

Starring:

Ian Shaw as Hazel
Andrew Falvey as Fiver
Stephen Mangan as Bigwig
Lee Ross as Hawkbit
Phill Jupitus as Dandelion
Elliot Henderson-Boyle as Pipkin
Jane Horrocks as Hannah
Rik Mayall as Kehaar

The Watership Down television series was a co-production between Alltime Entertainment in the UK and Decode Entertainment in Canada which aired between 1999 and 2001. No willful copyright infringement is intended; I simply want to bring the show back for its fans.

  • this is a beautiful change. i'm not sure when this was aired but this is brilliant compared to the cartoons of today >:( finally an american cartoon with an actual plot!! the cartoons today are ridiculous!

  • Hahah, well actually it was a British/Canadian series, not an American one (which probably explains why!) It ran for three series from 1999 to 2001.

  • @AeroSkyx oh yes i love Redwall! :D i remember watching that as a kid. I wanted to be an otter or a squirrel for the longest time as a kid XD The otters and squirrel's were so cool to me. Dont think i've ever heard of Cybersix though.

  • I love hannah's accent xd

  • @dragon21saphirestar

If you like this you should check out Redwall and Cybersix

  • I miss Keegan sayin: " stupid bunnies!"

  • @Japanesebanzai52 this series starts after they ALREADY left sandleford warren. So we dont get to see bigwig go 1 on 4 with cpt holly and the owesla AND WIN! like the big badass furball bigwig is!

  • i remember watching this when i was little and loving it and one day my dad bought me the book and as soon as i started reading it i remembered this series and bought the movie too. i also remember having a dream where i was one of the rabbits and i helped blackberry make a plan to escape general woundwort. *sigh* ahhh the good old days :)

  • I love the series but what ever happened to bigwig beating up captain holly?

  • I was born on 1999 and ironicly my zodiac animal is the rabbit.

  • I agree with you about nineties cartoons being better. The ones today...just can't compare... :(

  • @dragon21saphirestar It was a British cartoon (based on the book of the same name) which was shown on the children's show CITV. I remember watching it when i was younger :) it is wonderfully done, some people just don't put time into these things anymore :(
