Very good douglarmanie! The guy sitting with the guitar is my uncle (Kurtis Leslie) He is one of the founders of San Jose Serenaders, along with Michael Lezama and a few others. They are one of the few bands that has actually kept a traditional sound to the music. I grew up watching them practice!
hey i know the guy dancing by himself, he never misses an association, always want to dance with some young lady. True parranderos right here plp love this band
Triniview has to be more responsible in doing research. Those kind of errors are unacceptable. This group is NOT los pastores it is SAN JOSE SERENADERS
The song is la Historia de San Jose (composed by said group) and speaks of the history of how San Jose was once the capital of Trinidad while we were under Spanish rule. When you pass by Maracas, St. Joseph you will still see the sign San Jose de Oruna.
I love the way you in Trinidad have kept the tradition of parrang alive. I grew up listening to parrang music during Christamas, but nowadays here across boca del dragon, that music is seldom played on the radio. The exception worth to mention are state owened radio stations.
