http://carforallnet.blogspot.com The Citroen C3 Picasso 2010 has been submitted in July 2008 . This is a direct competitor of the mini-MPV Renault Grand Modus and Opel Meriva.
Result of work of several years at Citroën, the C3 Picasso has a bold, new design and is practical. He has the qualities of minivans: high layers, visibility (windshield in three parts). Inside you can see a modern dashboard that incorporates some elements of the concept car Citroën C-Cactus. The C3 Picasso is 4.08 m long, 1.73 m wide and 1.62 m high It has a front and a compact back very square. Its trunk capacity is high: 500 liters in tablet and 5-seater configuration, and it only takes one move through the feeder controls to enlarge and have a flat floor. It has as its big brother, the C4 Picasso panoramic roof up to the chest (4.52 square meters of glass surface with this one).
The C3 Picasso is launched with two petrol engines: the VTi 95 and VTi 120 (developed with BMW group) and two diesel engines: the 90 HDI and HDI 110 FAP. The HDI engine 90 is the least polluting of the range by emitting 125g of CO2 to 100km. The HDI versions will get the signature Airdream sign of the ecology of diesel engines. The C3 Picasso in 2010 should benefit from the Stop & Start option. It is an evolution of the system already offered as an option on the classic C3. The engine turns off automatically when stopped (at a stop sign or red light), then turns back at the slightest pressure on the accelerator (there is a second battery to make all those starts). The evolution from the previous version is to recover energy when braking to recharge the extra battery. This further reduces fuel consumption.
Announced in the press in the summer of 2008, the C3 Picasso has been presented to the press September 10, 2008. Done in the PSA plant in Trnava in Slovakia, it has been exposed to the Mondial de l'Automobile de Paris - 2008 edition in Paris before joining the concessions in the first quarter of 2009. He had 4 stars in Euro NCAP crash test.
