This was shot in 1992 in front of Waco Dodge on Valley Mills Drive. It was never the same after this night because the cops shut it all down. Every year, the Waco "Mini-Nationals" came to town and Waco Dodge would clear off their parking lot for us. It was all in good fun, but it kept getting bigger and bigger. Soon, burn-out contests would happen. That year, it got crazy! Yes...that is me in my old Cordoba kicking it off. These cars were serious iron. Nothing like the CRAP that is out there today. Notice the lack of booming stereos. We let the engines do all the talking. I seriously miss those days. This is a re-edit of a video I did years ago. I used better music this time and Adobe Premiere with Neat video filters to clean up the Hi8 analog tapes.

  • Guys you complain about all the cops on Valley Mills but please consider that this video was taken in 92 ..... The same time that 7 people were killed on that street. Just look at the 7 crosses on valley mills in front of tractor supply. One of those crosses could very easily have your name on it. im not trying to start a fight just saying be glad there are cops to slow things down ! there are places for that stuff but just consider the many children that occupy that street with their families.

  • @Mr71PUMA Well, yeah...but to be fair that incident was not related to this. Wasn't it a drunk that hit a church van or something? I don't recall that being related to the mini-nats.

  • @oldmopeder youre right it was a drunk ...But he was doing what these are are doing;Speeding or at least accelerating at a rapid speed! As seen in this video only a few did burnouts, Most " peeled " out for 10 to 20 yards and you cant tell me what the guy raised in his hand was a Pepsi can at the end of the video. You cant tell me its safe to have kids 3 feet from or even standing on the curb as shown in this video. Just admit there is a VALID reason this "stuff" was shut down!

  • @Mr71PUMA Safe? Probably not...but the argument you made about a drunk driver on a completely different day, who...if I remember correctly...was traveling at speeds above 80mph over the bridges in a drunken coma does not apply here. I was out there several times those years and drunks were not tolerated at the car club events. Period. Our cars were worth too much money.

  • wow! now a days there are so many cops out there you cant even drive!

  • I was filming on this lot next to the man in Yellow short and the man purse. I have a VHS tape thats over an hour an a half long. That was probably the most fun Illegaly!!! ive ever had in my car that night. That was the start of the decline of the Street Machine Nationals!!! Man was it a Great Night!!! The Burnouts moved to the Howard Johnson after this Year.

  • Ah, good ol' Valley Mills. Lol
