  • @fuckingarmbar you got that right my friend =)

  • @paladin313 I don't doubt the historical accuracy of this comment. Another practical reason that they share vocal duties these days could be that Art is 68 here and can no longer hit the high notes and do the vocal acrobatics that he did 40 years ago. This is still a could performance by two of the giants of the music world.

  • @paladin313 Thanks. I knew it was something similar to that but, never really knew. the actual reason. Hmmm, I'd like to have an inferiority complex and be as talented as Paul Simon.

  • @paladin313 After the split, they did get on stage together once and a while. However, one night, in one of Art's concerts, he called up Paul from the audience for a couple of numbers, and then he sang "Bridge" right after, which Paul took as a slap to the face. Paul later began to get over his complex and reclaimed the song, singing it in his own concerts in a gospel style, and it sounded really good. Now, they have combined that and sing it together as if to say, "We're over it."

  • @manbigus Paul once had an inferiority complex. He wanted Art to sing it, and Art actully thought Paul woud be good for it. However, though Paul did the lion's share of the work in the duo, (writing the songs and music,) Art did little, but got as much acclaim. They were both slated to be in "Catch-22" but Paul's part was cut, and Art was in Mexico most of the time. Paul started to become jealous, and then wondered why HE didn't sing the song. It was a point of tension a long time for them.

  • @paladin313 I like this song and S+G. Please tell me how this song contributed to the break-up. All I have ever heard was that Art was a bit lazy when it came to practicing and that he was always going somewhere. Thanks.

  • It is so good to see the song that actually contributed to their break up be something that they can now share, and it makes it that much better.

  • Bellissima!
