TTTYAATW was incredibly fun, even though the same riff is repeated throughout most of the song. I did three overdubs, so there are three guitar tracks. I only videoed two of the parts and it ook me a good while to perfect the video. One of the things I really loved was the sound! One of the best sounding recordings I think I've ever done. Of course I've been doing a lot of recording lately and that always helps.

I used my trusty Gibson LP, Line 6 M13, and Vox AC4. That's really all you need. I took the same sound I used for the IGWSHA video and tweaked it a bit. The info as to what effect units I modeled is in the description to the IGWSHA video. Also, like I always do, I mic'd my amp with the SM 57, ran it to M Audio FT Pro, and to Garageband. I had the mic pressed up right smack against the grill cloth. Mic'ing the amp that way (at least with an SM 57) really allows you to get the best sound. SM 57's work best at close mic'ing, since that's what they're built for.

  • Can you tell me what the setting were on your Line 6 M13 for this song. I have a M13 and just cant get the sound you've got in the video. Nice Work!

  • @HorsemKA I'm sorry I've not yet replied. You can check my If God Will Send His Angels jam out and in the description I listed what effects I used on my M13. I'll try and get the settings up as soon as possible. Unfortunately I'm unable to at the moment but I will definitely try and get on that tomorrow. If you have any questions just ask. Glad to lend any help you might need. :)
