  • I really don't get the fuss about hitchens. I think he was always hard to follow and not an excellent speaker.

  • @greekcypriot004 Jesus wasn't around at that point.

Moses, following God's instructions says this: “Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them. “They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the LORD in the Peor incident, so that a plague struck the LORD’s people. Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.

This is very immoral and twisted.

  • @greekcypriot004 God kills all firstborn in Egypt. He drowns ALL life on the planet, inlcuding babies and innocent animals. He demands that Jephta sacrifices his daughter to him and demands 32 virgins after a war. He also kills Lot's wife, turing her into stone and doesn't seem to mind Lot making inbred babies with his two daughters.

  • @greekcypriot004 Oh I am not talking about Psalm 137:9 alone. I mean Hosea 13:16 "They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open." In 2Kings 15:16 He carries out God's command. "He sacked Tiphsah and ripped open all the pregnant women." Also 2 kings 8:12 has a ref to this part.

  • @greekcypriot004 I know they're OT laws, but they do not make since in any context since they are eternal laws from an omnipotent God. Why was cutting up pregnant women the epitome of moral 4000 years ago? What wrong had the infants done? Also, if it isn't always okay then God's moral is context bound and subjective and not at all objective. But the teachings of NT are much much more sinister and cruel than all of OT combined.

  • @mansanraps

...They must be destroyed the moment they are born, and dashed against the rock. And this rock is Jesus Christ.
