I went to party dressed as a pirate, saw this and immediately felt like a worthless douche bag.

You make Geeks everywhere proud man!
I would love to build some of this stuff, but I have no room to keep it...... One day!
Awesome job though, keep it up.

You are GOD! Great job!
This is epic and I commend you. You did an awesome job. It's inspiring.
Something I think you may have missed from the original is how they made it work, which explains why yours is having difficulty. On one of the behind the scenes vids, Cameron explained that the suit actually had a 7 foot tall body builder hidden inside, so that the 5'6" Ripley could "operate" the loader. It was effectively a giant puppet game, with Sigoruney coordinating her movements with the bodybuilder.

Yeah, if anything, most fan-made power loader costumes tend to be more practical than the actual one was.
And blast it all, I know my Power Loader can make bigger steps than shown in these videos, but I think it's too late to try and prove everyone wrong. It's already gone "viral" and probably had the most views it's gonna get. Had I known it was going to be plastered all over the internet, I might have done a better job. Heh.

Anytime someone repeatedly starts sentences with, "I also noticed on a lot of the other power loader costumes..." you KNOW he's a guy I'd like!

@noelgreencom I have to say, it's shocking to realize it, but wow, I do come off a bit boorish there.
On behalf of everyone else who has ever made a Power Loader costume before, I submit that mine is merely another geeky attempt with its own faults and merits. Credit goes to all artists who aspire to battle Alien Queens and recreate Cameron's awesome design. My personal favorite is Hallert's. :)
