GT5 Nascar Special Event - Daytona, Last Two Laps - Level 21 Advanced- GOLD WITH ABS ON 1

Since GT5 updated past 1.06, you can't turn off the ABS, which keeps the ASM switched on... making this challenge extremely difficult. It took me over 30 attempts, but it can be done... just!

Tips: Switch the steering assist to strong... you need to keep smooth and not hear hardly any tyre squeal... if they're squealing, you're losing speed.

Sorry about the poor quality of the video, I was just so happy to finally get the gold, so I just recorded it on a crappy mobile phone. I did save the replay on my PS3 too, if I get chance to record on a better quality phone.

I feel your pain... exactly how I felt the first 30+ times I tried this insane challenge. Like you say, if you have lost the "draft" by the first corner, then quit and try again. To get the best draft effect, keep slightly to the inside/left of the car you are following around the corner.

I can send anyone the actual replay save data file by email. You just copy it to your PS3, and open it with GT5 like any regular replay file. You can then analyse it as much as you wish, in perfect clarity.

No proof of no ABS. You gain speed through the entire first turn and then reach 237 MPH in the following straight. I can't go more than 196 through the same turn because of ABS, and then can't get to more than 211 in the following straight. Sorry, looks like ABS is off to me.

But how is ABS off, when you cannot switch it off now? This video was filmed and posted 1 months ago, waaaaaay after PD brought in the update that stops anyone from switching the ABS off...that is enough proof. Go practise your drafting skills and you may just win this.

true. it has disqualified me as well, for light bumps. its very inconsistent like that. my guess, is that they made it so that it will every once in awhile, give you a break. during those 'breaks' you have to take advantage. its crazy.

Dude you were lucky! 1:35=Pure Luck. I got disqualified for much much MUCH less! This challenge is stupid! I've been trying for 4 hours now. Just can't get past the first one! It's like it's broken!!

@bchappo So true!! but you ever tried to get F***** silver/gold on the S.Vettel Redbull X2010 challenge with a F***** controlle?... thats the sort of S*** that shud be made impossible. and ever tried to do the Formula GT on B-Spec and win all races but then the game Freezes on the last race whilest trying to load.... ITS PURE DOG SH**!!
