Dear P-League Fans in overseas country.

Confirming upload of P-league official website, I upload series 35 Semi-Final DEF. In last uploading, there seems to be no problem with one file uploading,
so this time agian I upload with one file
Ending is no sound as usual. Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Follwing are comments of Players before game. Please note that all of them
were born in 1989.

1) Miho Yanagi : Nickname-Full power Revolution.
Though she won in group F, She sheded tears after game released from extreme
pressure, and cried "I am about to be oxygen shortage"
For comment to semi final, she says " I would like to make my pace with inner
reserves of strength.

2) Aki Suzuki: Nickname-Funky girl from Tokai area
"Though they tell me "you never feel strain" because I seldom betray my
feelings, as a matter of fact, I do, very much.
Staff said but you don't do you?
Aki answered "I do, I do!"
In primary match, Aki never showed smiles even getting strikes.
She says "I really seldom smile, I can't haha... In semi Final, I would like
to play with smiles"

3) Ayumi Kobayashi : Nickname-Splendid Left Handed
Staff "you stand on your dignity as elder to your younger sister (Yoshimi Kobayashi)"
Ayumi "yes, yes, but I can't see her here. It's a pride as elder sister"
For semi final she says "I would like to say I am opening strike festival"

* I made mistake in her first name Akeimi is wrong, so corrcted to "Ayumi"., sorry.
Attention!
Followings corresponds explanation to second half, so please don't read
further, if you don't want to know the result of the game before watching
movie.

In the part of Saki Nakajima, Hiromi Matsunaga mentioned source of power.
Her case is drinking sparkling beverage. She is refreshed with the sparkling
feel, especially when she can not do well and is deptressed.
Also she drinks when she would like to be fire up before games, but she drinks
more after game.
Saki agreed and told Hiromi she also liked havintg sparkling beverages after
concert (as a member of cute).
On the other hand, it irratates noses to chug down sparkling drinks at one go,
so, she drinks just a little, though she really like it. it is refreshing
enough for Hiromi.

"Individual introduction of participants for "p-leaguers in next generation"
This time, a successful candidate was disclosed. Selection was made by Mr. Maruyama and Mr. Kitagawa (both are commentators, and JPBA bowlers of course). Also
P-leagers (Ami Tanaka, Risa Suzuki and Akemi Kobayashi) come to watch the
candidates.
Risa commented "It's good tthat each candidates appeals themselves"

After rigid evaluation, Hitomi Andoh, 23 years old (JPBA player) has been
disclosed as a successful candidate .

Her comment : I can say only "I am really glad to pass exam. Though participation to p-league has not been fixed officially yet, I really like bowling and wish to be a p-leaguer. Thank you!"

Mr. Takashi Matruyama, Tournament director and commentator of p-league has
disclosed in his blog that there are 3 successful candidates including Hitomi.
It is breakaway. Even p-leaguers consider not to disclose the result of
matches until it is updated in official website.
Anyway, all you guys, who do you think other 2 successful candidates?

Now, followings are comment of Semi-Final DEF Players after game.

1) Aki Suzuki: I thought I could do well, but very far. I have not been strict enough with myself. How I can avoid tapping and bring strikes, it is my theme in whole of my life.

2) Miho Yanagi : I do not have inner reserves of strength, my body moves quicker than my image. I want to be stronger, but what shall I do? I will consider taking time.

3) Ayumi Kobayashi : Strike festival has come!, I I regret mistake in 2nd flame. I wish I could open the festival again in final. I'll do my best"

Yes, It's true, I have no objectton for that.

Sorry if my word is not enough.

  • @yuppiehi *perks up!* ;)

  • Let's change topic. How about let's say if there's going to be a P-League fantasy/special doubles tournament (possibility of never ever gonna happen) where P-League ladies would pair with PBA men, what pairing could be possible?

I'll start with a couple in mind:

Urara Himeji pairing with Mike Fagan, aka King of Swing and Argyle Assassin - I pair them for their high back swing

Ayumi Kobayashi pairing with any lefties like Parker Bohn III, Rhino Page, Patrick Allen or Ryan CIminellli

  • thanks 4 uploading....

  • Yet another long-winded comment from muah. I got ahold of the DVDs for Beautiful Challenger (美しきチャレンジャー) from 1971. This series is AWESOME! They have old clips of Ritsuko-san, Rie Ishii (she was a BABE in 1971,) and several others. Maybe I should create another YouTube acct and upload the series to YouTube. TBS should re-make this series, and have someone like Mao Inoue star in it. Another great bowling dorama is Golden Bowl with Hitomi Kuroki. Hitomi looks like a real bowler in this one!

  • For examples of American women bowling, try Google image for USBC college women bowling. Most 200+ average women out of juniors will go to college and bowl on a scholarship. But, because the PWBA is dead and that they can't compete on the PBA Tour (yes, Kelly and Missy are FREAKS of nature,) they'll take up other occupations. That's why Wendy Macpherson has the brains of all the American women - she went onto the JPBA and is winning money, while Barnes and Ballard just hang around the PBA.

  • I don't think P-League would work in America. Despite the P's, the show's appeal is the "idol" mentality that has lingered in Japan since the 1970s. The fashion, the hair styles - all part of the magic. America doesn't look at women in the same respect as Japan, so any show appealing to 20+plus women bowling would work for maybe two seasons at the most, and then the appeal would wear off. Bowling's reputation in America is also different - just watch "King Pin" and you'll see what I mean.

  • @higashi1343

True about mature looks. But of course this kind of competition definitely needs aura of maturity don't you think?

  • @kreion

    Thanks for your comment.

Series 18 is first time for her to get championship in p-league. At that time she cried bitterly over the victory because she had bee called "silver collector" until then. I mean she had got 2nd position in many game including regular tournament, but could not have got top due to fatal mistake in key point of the game. However after victory in series 18, she has grown to really tough. In 2011, she was top for yearly averages and points (2nd for a prize)..

  • @SCDWldCrd

I copied and pasted picture of PBA bowlers you mentioned.

Well....not bad, but they look a bit more matured than p-leaguers though Asian people (especially Japanese) tend to look younger (childlike) for their ages.

Maybe no problem with Power, Passtion and Perfornance. also they may have made Perfect games. Pretty depends on preferences of the people who look at bowlers.
