Solar Fire is an album released in 1973 by Manfred Mann's Earth Band. This is the song with the same title. The pics I used can be found on the Internet and most band pics come from www.drjazz.ch.
-LYRICS-
See the morning dancer, crossing the sky,
Turning gold to amber travelling by
He must know the answer
He must know why
Looking for an answer, look to the sky

Shadows getting shorter filling your sight
Brightly burning starfire, life giving light
Dawning into morning Day into night
Looking for an answer, look to the light

Sunlight streaming burn through the night
First light stealing shine solar fire

Starting from tomorrow look to the sky
There's a new day dawning passing you by
Follow aon life's dance and then you'll know why
Looking for an answer look to the sky.

  • Άρχισες με ωραία ακούσματα λοιπόν!

  • As kids, we grew up listening very intently to this album and love it still. Rock in a 7/4 time signature! Way ahead of it's time. The whole record is quite a journey and worth picking up, if you can find it. Cheers!

  • In fact I love the whole record, especially "Darkness".

  • One more song from this record is now uploaded...

  • this is a good song

  • More than good, I would say. It is great!

  • @buxongs unfortionately, songs in 7/4 time signature was not ahead to it's time, since progressive rock first emerged in the end of the 60's and blossomed throughout the 70's..bands as yes, king crimson, ELP, jethro tull...not to mention the jazz fusion bands of the 70's...

  • κομματάρα μιλάμε!

  • The images of Dave Flett and Chris Hamlet Thompson are not really appropriate to this great song; the vocalist/guitarist who recorded this track was actually Mick Rogers. Flett and Thompson didn't arrive till The Roaring Silence.

  • 70's Prog Rock FTW!!!!!

  • Υπέρτατη κομματάρα!!! Masterpiece!!! Thanks!

  • I have alway's loved this song and the LP. Bring's back GREAT high school memories. Every one at that time line was getting stoned. I was all about PEACE!!!!!

  • Solar Fire is one of the best Rock album in the 70´s
