RMS/DeskTop Tour - pt. 7: Internet Access

RMS/DeskTop can connect to remote repositories over any TCP/IP connection when you use iDT Server. Setting up the connection to iDT Server only requires a few pieces of information. Enter a domain name or IP address, and the port address, and you're ready to connect. iDT Server also features 128-bit SSL data encryption, allowing you to keep your data away from prying eyes. Local and remote repository connections are virtually identical. Users access and perform operations on documents the same way, regardless of repository location.
