This is Cash's classic - with a bit of a twist. I changed the opening and the chords a bit to put it in traditional blues 7-chords: C7, F7 and G7. Please enjoy, rate and comment. Thanks!

Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash by UKISociety

[C7]I hear the train a comin', it's rolling round the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know [F7]when,
I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' [F7 roll] on
But that [G7] train keeps a rollin' [F7 roll] down to San Antone.

[C7]When I was just a baby my mama told me 'Son,
Always be a good boy; don't ever play with [F7]guns.
But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him [F7 roll] die
When I [G7]hear that whistle blowing [F7 roll], I hang my head and cry.

Solo (instrumental verse)

[C7]I bet there's rich folks eatin', in a fancy dining car
They're probably drinkin' coffee, and smokin' big [F7]cigars.
Well I [D]know I had it comin', I know I can't be [F7 roll]free
But those [G7]people keep a movin'[F7 roll], and that's what tortures me.

Solo (instrumental verse)

[C7]Well, if they freed me from this prison, if that railroad train was mine
I bet I'd move it on a little farther down the [F7]line
Far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to [F7 roll]stay
And I'd [G7]let that lonesome whistle[F7 roll], blow my blues way.
