I officially have every BOTP & Gatchaman file. As of now I'm 48 episodes into the "Gatchaman" series & all I have to say is, "Sandy Frank's American TV executives really butchered it," as BOTP doesn't hold a candle to the 1972 original. Looking back on 1978, it is very obvious that these guys were riding the coattails of Star Wars' success. Such a shame to feel it was necessary to water everything down, let alone have it (to some degree) imitate another sci-fi franchise.

@gr8gmr Right on! Get the original Scooby, Dungeons & Dragons, Super Friends, etc. back on tv - when tv was tv!
Then get back on Battlestar Galactica (original series), Star Trek, Airwolf, A-Team, Voyagers, and almost everything else from the '60's, '70's, and '80's. Maybe it can help people to start acting like people in society again!

Is it just me or had end 70's, early 80's cartoons a higher standard as today. Just saw nowadays stuff on cartoon channel and I could't believe my eyes. What a bunch of shit !!
