Hehe I'm not the guy in the video, I found this video before Youtube was around and it helped me understand the motion so I posted it for you guys.

And it should be smooth, clean and controlled before you use it in public. =)

Its also called the freehand techniqe. It was called that long before it was ever called the gravity blast.

@ArkhamBlack the old drummer also used french grip to do his insane speeds, i saw it live. basically, dont walk away thinking the berzerker used ust gravity blasts, the faster stuff by them was done by french grip.

yes its also called a gravity blast. but its done on the rim not levitated. Johnny Rabb teaches this way, and the drummer of The Berzerker uses this method as well

just my opinion but the last 8 seconds or so look sped up cause his head is spazzing
