@rage103 not exactly. they saw references to 'lake bodom' in their local phone book. This reminded them of a local murder mystery where 4 teenagers were attacked whilst camping at lake bodom and the killer was never caught. They felt that this sort of spooky story so close to home would make a good starting point for a name. After playing about with different combinations of words relating to 'bodom' they decided 'Children of Bodom' sounded the best.

@rage103 No. They got their name from researching about the murders at Lake Bodom, thus the song Lake Bodom. And they just evolved after that.
