"T.V." Tommy Ivo is one of a handful of the true legends of drag racing.

I built thw Revell model kit when I was akid. (The headers and their jigs were a pain). Then I watched this behemoth run in Riviera Wagonmaster trim at Motor City in Mt. Clemens back in '66. Absolutely Outrageous. : )

The motors were all identical Buick "nailheads" ~ in stock form they were only 322 cubic inches each but punched out to around 364 inches. Ivo never ran fuel in the car, always pump gas and all 4 motors used Hilborne mechanical fuel injection.

@MrRonnieG - to paraphrase Marlon Brando's signature quote - Quad AI (your ultimate) "coulda been a contender"... we'll never know, will we?

If anyone thinks this car is the ultimate ~ let me tell you about another car I saw at an L.A. car show in 1964. It was called "Quad Al." It was a huge dragster, fully functional, powered by FOUR 12 cylinder, 1,710 cubic inch Allison aircraft engines. The car had 4 wheel drive with 2 slicks (wheels welded together) on EACH WHEEL! Of course the car never ran but just the fact it COULD have run was unbelievable. I never saw it again after that car show but GEEEZ, what an amazing thing to see.
