Luthier, bouzouki player and singer Jiannis Loulourgas from the village of Pythagorion on the island of Samos released a new CD in spring of 2008.
The album is called "Rebetika Tragoudia" and contains 12 masterful interpretations of traditional rebetic songs. The CD was produced in a studio in Thessaloniki. On some of the songs his daughter Maria joins him in singing.

You like the music of Jiannis? SInce 2011 you can experience Jiannis playing his music "live" during the season in a place called "Thanasis' Sister" in the harbor of Pythagorion! Easy to find in the harbour, turn left from main street, the only place that has no tent, so can you can see the stars at night!!

Depicted in this presentation are some musicians who play(ed) together with Jiannis in Pythagorion several years ago. In 2011, Jiannis Loulourgas and Alexis Papos (guitar) were playing together all season long in "Thanasis' Sister" in the harbour of Pythagorio.
