Republican presidential candidate John McCain said Thursday that he would fire Securities and Exchange Commissioner Christopher Cox if he were president. (Sept. 18)
Not sure whether I agree with Mr. McCain or not. All I know is I am glad I am not a market maker in any of the 800 stocks affected by Mr. Cox's ban on short selling. Now that Congress is about to mark down fictitious "assets" these publicly traded companies have on their books, there could be a selling avalanche and considerable difficulty for market makers to hedge their exposure.
All of these top guys are making big bucks while sitting on their asses and picking their noses while our economy is going down the drain. To make matters worse, they get multimillion dollar exit packages when they get shitcanned!
McCain is a hot head and doesn't have the temperment to lead

Hypocrisy personified. What I find so amazing is that this was a *prepared* speech.

HELLO?????
McCain is on the ***SENATE BANKING COMMITTEE*** THAT IS SUPPOSED TO SET THE REGULATIONS. SEC CHAIRMAN WAS JUST DOING HIS JOB OF LOOSE REGULATION.
Very sad to hear them cheering when one of those responsible is right before them. Truly pathetic.
