In early 1991, I at long last joined the Digital Age. But I didn't JUST get a CD player, oh no. I gots me a LASERDISC/CD COMBO PLAYER, baby! Sit back and relax as I gush about the wonders of disc-based video almost a decade before the rest of the world caught on (with DVD).
I was still learning about all this stuff at the time, so there are a few factual errors in my demo which i have tried to clarify/correct in the sub-titles. Enjoy!

My English teacher back in 7th grade had one of these, and she wasn't sure if it still worked. She just threw it out. Shame. I probably could have found a way to fix it.

Pioneer, man I inherited my parent's old cd player that used to be theirs before I was born. [I'm 19 now] and in 2008 it finally died...and I did keep it on 24/7 literally. Random but every time I see that brand I remember that stereo. I find it irritating that my radio of a year broke when the old one pulled it's weight for seemingly forever.

(3:18) Conflammit, is every copyright-a-holic like Warner Bros. or Bugs Bunny always stubborn about money?

Nice video. I am wondering I have come across the chance to get a Pioneer CLD-1010 for 100 dollars including shipping from ebay or a Pioneer LD-W1 for 350 including shipping, how well does the CLD-1010 compare to the Pioneer LD-W1 when it comes to sound and video quality?

When you were making this video I was working at "Technidisc" (for those who don't know what that is. We were a manufacture of Laserdisc's) I worked there from 1987-1996 when the plant closed.

i've got the pioneer cdl d515 series and it is great
because it can play badly scratched and marked discs
and still preserved the original picture quality because
the the lasor beam light source can scan through it without
anything else touching discs if you get a fingure print on it
you can still play it without crashing .
